Austrian Pinscher dog

The Austrian pinscher comes from the old Austrian country. In the second half of the nineteenth century it was still widely used as a frugal, versatile farm dog. Compared to the German pinscher, the Austrian pinscher is wider, more rugged and primitive.

Description

The Austrian pinscher is forty-two to fifty centimeters tall. Its coat is usually smooth and short, resting against the body, but double, long coats do occur in the breed.

The colors range from light yellow to black, tan, and fawn. There are also those that are spotted black, and representative white markings Austrian Pinscheron the head, chest, abdomen and feet are allowed. The ears are found either as bat ears, floppy ears, bend ears or falling ears. The docked tail curls upward.

Health Care

The coat needs little care. Regular brushing, especially during the shedding season is sufficient.

Temperament

The Austrian pinscher is lively, active, bright, modest, courageous, tireless, loyal, and happy. It barks and is vigilant. This breed is, by nature, a dog for the country. With enough exercise one can keep him in the city. Long walks or hikes are just the thing.
